They treated my husband with caring and excellent service, they all went above and beyond with his care.

I had brought my mom into the emergency on August 19,2017 when we were in the emergency room #15 the nurses and doctor on duty were exceptionally polite, considerate and beyond with patience. I would like to recommend nurses Michelle McCann, and Maxine King and Dr. Johnstone. Please let them be acknowledge of their outstanding job well done. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

This is a terrible hospital. Ive been here twice as emergency and first time waited around 2h and today 4h. They didnt even offer water. They said there is only 1doc and the emergency area is full. Terrible management if I have something serious and i wasnt treated on time im suing.

My husband was admitted into the hospital for a Stroke from the Emergency room. I just want to say that the ER nursing staff was amazing!! Nurse Kelly was one of the most professional nurses I dealt with. She check on me husband and made him feel so comfortable! She was even very concerned about me also and how I was doing! The wait wasn't as long as I thought it would be. We arrived 1:30 pm all the nesessary test were done, Neurology came down spoke to informing me that he was going to be admitted. By 6pm he was taken to the Neuro Step-down unit. The night nurse was amazing and so was the day staff nurses. The only problem I had was once admitted to the unit The Neuro Doctors were never available to speak to me about what was going on with my husband after the nurses page the Attending about 10 X's and he/she never answered also Occupational therapy was not at all around to see that when going home he was able to do the things like eating, tolieting issues, or even Speech therapy. Physical therapy was ok but I had to ask the nurse to ask them to come back to show him how to use the stairs safely because he was going home. I never saw a Social worker. Discharge planning was terrible! If it wasn't for the Neuro Step down nurse I wouldn't have known much of anything. I hope by NYU Langome taking them over they will they improve their way of doing things for patients. They must be taught to "PUT PATIENTS FIRST!!' Another thing that I was not happy about was the different facilities that my husband had to go for different appts the front office staff was not welcoming no smiles, no good mornings just an are you here for and appt and sit down. The front office staff need to be given inservices on how to welcome the patient to their practice and how to make them feel comfortable. I came from an amazing hospital that is NUMBER 1 in the country and if you treated a patient that way you were either suspended or fired. So I hope NYU Langone Winthrop gets better as time goes on!

I just returned from having ambulatory surgery at Winthrop. From the moment I was admitted to the moment I went home, I have never experienced such a wonderful team of healthcare professionals, especially the nurses and assistants. They were kind, caring compassionate and efficient. I could not have had better care. I can not adequately express my sincere thanks for their hard work and dedication. You were all absolutely wonderful.
