This Nassau County Supreme Court in Mineola, NY is the BEST :) Honorable Judge Anthony Marano, Honorable Judge Bruce E. Tolbert, and Honorable Judge James V. Brands are the nicest kindest Judges. These 3 Judges have truly restored my Faith in the Court System & Justice.
I was treated so unfairly by Jason & by the Lower Ct. I'm not a lawyer & had no idea how to run a trial. I felt so ganged up on by everyone in that room in the Lower Ct. It was so awful that I had nightmares for weeks after.
Really nice design and plenty of parking. Best thing to do is to not come with lots loose change and things that aren't necessary for you visit as it will only slow you down during the security search. I would also call help desk to navigate before getting there as it can be confusing.
My own lawyer Jason who I naively trusted, fooled me by promising to represent me at Traffic Ct Trial & then withdrew immediately before trial to leave me with no attorney. He was angry that I didn't want to plea bargain, which I learned is the client's right/choice. He was also mad that I wanted to review again & practice cross examination the night prior Traffic Court in case it went to Trial. He turned the Lower Ct against me so badly by lying & saying I threatened him which I never did. He was using my past against me when he represented me when I was falsely accused in Ct (all charges were dismissed in my favor). He knows how much it hurts when people lie about me because of what happened to me with the false allegations, but he did it to me too. He also lied to me about a Motion to Dismiss he never filed which also cost me my Case too. He never drafted a Affidavit for me to sign being that I requested the supporting deposition. But Jason remember to take thousands.
I am so proud and happy to say: I WON MY CASE ON FRIDAY 8/26/2016 :)
I pushed myself to get strong & fight for Justice. I worked so hard & wrote my own Appellate Brief and then my own Reply Brief too. I did it all with Truth & I never once bad mouthed/lied about Jason even though he did it to me. I never lied about anything.
My rights were violated at a Lower Ct when I, a civilian, was forced against my will to run a Trial myself, despite asserting my right to Representation over 20 times.

I had the Courage to "Argue" myself at my Appeal, thanks to the encouraging kind words of the person I admire & look up to as my Hero, Attorney Edward Palermo who is the Best and a Shining Example of who every Lawyer should aspire to be just like.
Thank you so much for listening to me at my Appeal & treating me with respect, giving me the chance at Justice I needed since September 2014, and Thank You All so much for giving me my Day in Court. You are the Best 3 Judges. Thank you for giving me Justice. I can't believe I won my Appeal Pro Se! :) The day I "Argued" my Appeal myself at Nassau County Supreme Court in Mineola, NY: Thursday May 19, 2016 is a day I will always remember and be proud of. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WON MY CASE TOO :) THANK YOU-YOU ALL ARE THE BEST PEOPLE :)
Overall a good experience serving Jury Duty.
I am commenting about the building only. The facility is one of the better courthouses in New York, and the public library is a nice feature, as is the cafeteria in the building. The elevators are really old and could use an overhaul
I owe it all to Chris for winning my Case and getting me Justice, I owe it all to Edward Palermo for supporting me with his kind supportive words which got me through my fear at my Appeal re facing my opposition when I felt I couldn't do it alone, and of course I owe it all to the BEST JUDGES EVER AT MINEOLA SUPREME COURT. THANK YOU ALL :) I FINALLY HAVE JUSTICE! :)
